Wow, only an hour?? But aren't you supposed to bake them and then let them cool and then chill the layers and then do all kinds of other stuff that takes time...

I've never made a cake in my life, so I don't know. Maybe she teams up with Dave and cheats in some extra hours.

Oh, really? You should try making one sometime! It's fun. (I mean, probably just one from a mix. That's the only kind I've made.)

Does Dave bake?

I want to make the one in a cup someday, just stick it in a microwave and walk away.

No idea. I can imagine him being an apple pie person, though.

Do those really work? It seems too good to be true...

Why apple pie? Is he, like, All-American?

Supposedly. Dunno if we have any microwave safe cups to try, though.

He's Texan.

So Texans are into apple pie... I would've guessed flan.

Oh yeah, I got two mugs for Christmas. We can sacrifice one of them.

What's flan? Do you think we can make that in a cup too?

Flan is kind of a jiggly pudding. You can get it at Mexican restaurants sometimes. I think it's a little like creme brulee.

We could try making it in your other mug.

That'd be fun. A cake in a mug. Creme brulee in a mug. And we can set the second one on fire.
