Oh, I still hate it, but it's alright. I'm just getting used to feeling the cold again.

I couldn't really feel it, no. Being an angel on earth is weird. There's stuff you can interact with, stuff you can't... things you feel and things you don't.

Being in the living world for a shinigami is a little like that, too. Though it sort of depends on what you're trying to do and how much you're paying attention as to what you can and can't touch...

Not really. Living humans with enough spiritual power to sense us at all are very rare.

Well... only a little. I didn't spend that much time in the living world, and I was never a living human myself, so... it probably wasn't that much like what you had to deal with.

So you've always been that way? Did you ever have a childhood?

Yes, a really long one! It's somewhat rare, but people are still born in Soul Society, so... I was able to grow up more or less normally. I think.

[wingectomy]

It doesn't matter if it was normal or not. Angels are born, too, sometimes. Mikael was born an angel. Or, at least, something holy that's supposed to become an angel.

Oh, really? Did he grow up in the human world, or in... um, the angel one?

The angel world. He's been in the human world for a while, now, but he hasn't got his wings, yet, so he can still be seen.

Oh! So is he sort of living as a human right now?

That's right. I think he's having fun with it.

Ah, but won't it get complicated when he has to leave to be an angel instead?
